About 20 years ago my parents bought a house listed as an agricultural property. Agricultural properties have water meters so before settling himself in for one of his double-flush sessions (don’t ask, I didn’t) my brother asked how much water costs. “Why? Did you have a glass?” asked my father.
On Friday, we bought the house and found out the water level in the pool was very low. On Saturday, I turned on the tap to refill it. On Sunday, we squelched through the study. On Monday we learnt that the water is metered… and that the water’s back to Saturday’s low. Oh dear.
Time for some bathroom sealant.
