The tree has gone. The tree guy convinced Ian that it really had no hope. But it was still alive. It had a huge conker harvest. And now it’s all gone. Should we have let nature take its course and hope that the tree outlived our years in the house? Should we just have risked our pool roof and anyone who might have been under the branches when they eventually dropped?
I keep saying that it will help us to plan that part of the house and garden: a better idea of the space, whether we want steps to the garden, how the area outside the kitchen will be. I say we owe it to the garden to help with its regeneration. I say we’ll get more sun into the pool.
Ian says it just shows how ugly the pool room is.
